Claude Code¶

Outcome: Claude Code chats and tools route through daari's Anthropic gateway.

Fast path: daari configure claude-code (writes settings + prints a verify curl; see also daari setup claude-code).

No tunnel required (localhost is fine).

Verify¶

Chat once, then daari report. Agent turns use /v1/messages with tool passthrough.

Thinking budgets¶

Claude Code's request-level thinking: {type, budget_tokens} is forwarded verbatim on L6 Anthropic escalations. Locally it maps onto Ollama think via reasoning_effort:

Effort (`output_config`)¶

Claude Code's output_config: {effort: low|medium|high|xhigh|max} is kept on /v1/messages and forwarded unchanged on L6 Anthropic. Locally, when effort is set without budget_tokens (or with thinking.type: adaptive), it maps to reasoning_effort / Ollama think the same way as OpenAI effort (xhigh / max → high). Opus 4.5 L6 hops get anthropic-beta: effort-2025-11-24 when the client did not already send it; 4.6+ needs no beta.

Structured outputs (`output_config.format`)¶

Anthropic structured outputs use output_config.format with type: json_schema (not the legacy top-level output_format). daari extracts that schema for local L3–L5 JSON enforcement and still accepts legacy output_format alone; when both are present, output_config.format wins. L6 replays the full output_config object (effort + format) unchanged.
